Navigating

SunSystems provides an up-to-date and attractive tabbed user interface

The menu item hyperlinks are organized within module-level groups and are accessible from a 3-bar icon on the menu panel. The tabbed interface allows you to open multiple sessions and quickly access different functions in each one.

Each menu panel contains object-based categories that include associated menu items.

The SunSystems menu panel is displayed after you log in to the application, and includes several navigational elements:

  • Menu panel
  • Navigation bar
  • Session tabs
  • Function Selection control.

The SunSystems menu panel is the launching point for SunSystems functions. The function selection control is located in the menu panel, and uses lookup from a list ordered by function code. Each SunSystems operator can define a list of favorite functions that are accessed on a regular basis.

The SunSystems Security function is used to create function extensions, and granting function permissions to user groups.

User Groups

To use SunSystems, your user must be a member of a SunSystems user group. Each user group has an associated menu, which is either set up by your system administrator, or is a default menu based on the user group's function permissions.
