Profile types

There are five different Transfer Desk profile types: import, export, internal transfer, external transfer, and process.

The SunSystems database receives data in SSML format. Data is transformed into SSML format or into an external data format, depending on the transfer operation required.

Import profiles

Use to import data into the SunSystems database. Non-SSML format data can be transformed to SSML format as part of the import.

Export profiles

Use to export data from the SunSystems database. SSML format data can be transformed to an external data format, if required.

Internal transfer profiles

Use to transfer data from one part of a SunSystems database to another part of the same database. This type of profile exports data, transforms it, and then re-imports it in one process.

External transfer profiles

Use to transform external data into another data format. This type of profile imports external data, transforms it, and then exports it in one process.

Process profiles

Use process profiles to perform complicated functions in SunSystems. For example, to do a payment run, when creating a process profile you can select from a list of available processes. The appropriate runtime options are then displayed for a payment run.
