Security groups and user access

Before you can use the Transfer Desk function, your user ID must be added to one of the three SunSystems Connect groups in the Security User Groups function. The appropriate group for you depends on how you will be using Transfer Desk:

  • Users: users can run profiles, but are restricted from creating new profiles or modifying existing profiles.
  • Power Users: Users can run profiles.
  • Administrators: Users can access to all functionality within Transfer Desk. If you are planning to set up transfer profiles, automations, data formats or transformations, you must be added to the Designers group. Administrators also have access to the Storage function, to manage folders and files in a dedicated Transfer Desk directory.

User groups are set in the User Groups Security function. From the main SunSystems menu, select SEG.
