Creating and amending forms

Form Designer (FRD) allows you to create new forms or modify existing forms to suit your particular organization's needs.

You can easily specify what data items and controls are displayed on the form, as well as creating your own form layout.

When creating forms it is important that the design and positioning of the fields are done in the most logical way possible.

Data Items

Form Designer is fully interactive with SunSystems and the Data Dictionary.

The Data Item list on the left of the default Form Designer window is compiled from the Data Dictionary. These items are marked with a red bullet if deemed mandatory for the function you are using. The Data Items within the list represent application data and map onto controls such as edit boxes, grids, combo boxes, and so on.

Note: Form Designer only allows you to check in a form when all of the mandatory data items have been included.
