Security tab

The Journal Type (with posting Rules) (JDX) form is the same as the Journal Types (JD) form , except for the Security tab, in which additional options are available.

  1. Specify this information in the security tab:
    Suspend Post Rules

If this option is selected, all of the currency amount and rate checks are ignored. The posting rules for each transaction value must be set to either Undefined to prevent a value being entered on the journal, or Only present if entered to make the value optional. If this option is selected and Exclude from Revaluation is not selected, transactions will only be excluded from the revaluation balancing run.

Note: This should only be used with extreme care in exceptional circumstances.
    Value 1

The posting rule to apply to the base currency for this journal type.

    Value 2

The posting rule to apply to the transaction currency for this journal type.

    Value 3

The posting rule to apply to the reporting currency for this journal type. Note that if second base currency is being used this must match the rule for base currency.

    Memorandum

The posting rule to apply to postings of the memo value, for this journal type.

    4th Currency Post Rule Override

The posting rule to apply to postings of the fourth currency, for this journal type.

    5th Currency Post Rule Override
