Terminology
These terms are useful for understanding the Parent-Child
relationship:
Term | Description |
---|---|
Parent company | The Parent of the Child companies. The Parent company can deploy packages to the tenants of its child companies. |
Child company | The Child company of the Parent company. |
Mandatory package | A mandatory package can be deployed from the Parent company to any of its Child tenants. A local package is defined as mandatory during creation. |
Optional package | An optional package can only be deployed to Child companies that have opted-in to optional package deployment. A local package is defined as optional during creation. |
Organization | For Parent-to-Child package deployment, each application's organization on the target tenant is the same as the organization selected during package creation. |
