Global packages

This section describes a feature that is only available to CloudSuite Industrial or CloudSuite Distribution customers with the 2024.10 release. Other companies should skip this section.

Global Packages must be enabled using the Features menu in CSSP for any environments where your company wants to deploy a global package. In the 2024.10 release, a package is available for Infor OS Portal. If you are a CloudSuite Industrial or CloudSuite Distribution customer, an admin must enable Global Packages for Infor OS Portal. See the "Features" section of the Infor CloudSuite Self-Service Portal User Guide for details.

Global packages are packages created by Infor or designated partner companies. They are made available for other companies to deploy. Generally, they include resources which may be useful to many companies for purposes such as initial tenant setup, workspace creation, and so on. For example, global packages containing workspaces for Infor OS Portal are available to all CloudSuite Industrial and CloudSuite Distribution customers as a part of the 2024.10 release.

Unlike local packages, global packages cannot be created by most companies. Instead, companies can become entitled to global packages. When a company becomes entitled to a global package, they can deploy the global package to its tenants.
