Entering Asset Notes
You can hold data about assets to supplement the information recorded in Asset Records (FAS). An asset record can have any number of asset note records linked to it. Asset notes are tied to asset records by the asset code.
For example, one note record holds details of the original asset as purchased, while subsequent note records hold details of enhancements or part disposals. The original asset record is unaffected by the addition of new notes.
Asset notes are used for information only. You can leave all fields blank, apart from asset code. You can display the details on the asset notes in reference reports.
Entering Asset Notes
An asset note is defined using Asset Notes Presets which can only be accessed from Asset Records.
The following steps are required:
- Access Asset Records (FAS) from SunSystems.
- Enter or Query the asset for which you want to add notes.
- From the Asset Note Setup dialog. menu select , or click the button, to display the

- Insurance
- Disposal
- Asset Finance
- User Details.
