The Schedule Order form
- When the Schedule option is selected, the relevant Schedule Order form is displayed.
-
Specify this information:
- Sales/Purchase/Movement Order Reference
- This field is automatically populated from the current order line and cannot be amended.
- Item Code
- The ordered item. This field may be left empty if the Description field is completed.
- Description
- This field may be left empty if the Item Code field is completed.
- Start Date
- The date when the schedule is to start. This date must not be earlier than the date of the order and must fall within the range of open dates defined for your system. This field may be left empty if the End Date field is completed.
- End Date
- The date when the schedule is to end. This date must fall within the range of open dates defined for your system. This field may be left empty if the Start Date is completed.
The following fields enable you to define how the quantity is calculated and how it is spread over the schedule:
- Quantity
- This is used in two ways:
- If the Number of Deliveries field is completed, this quantity is the quantity per delivery.
- If the Delivery Percentage field is completed, this quantity is the total quantity to be scheduled.
- Unit Label Code
- The unit of measure to be applied to the Quantity, for example, box or liter. This field may be left empty if the Item Code field is completed, in which case it defaults to the Inventory unit for the item.
- Number of Deliveries
- The number of deliveries to be made over the schedule. That is, the number of lines to be generated. If this field is completed, the figure entered in the Quantity field is used as the quantity for each delivery.
- Delivery Percentage
- The percentage of the total scheduled quantity to be applied to each delivery. This divides the total quantity by the delivery percentage, in order to calculate the quantity to be made in each delivery.
- Delivery Interval
- You can set up delivery intervals by specifying the number of working days or months in an interval. If both the Start Date and End Date are completed the delivery interval is automatically calculated. If only one of these dates has been entered the delivery interval entered is used to calculate the other date.
- Delivery Period
- Options are: Days or Months. This is used in conjunction with the figure in the Delivery Interval field. For example, if this is set to days and the delivery interval is set to 5, then a line generated by scheduled orders will have an Own Due Date five days apart. If set to months, then lines generated will appear five months apart.
- After the relevant details have been entered, from the Action menu select Generate. This generates the required number of order lines.
