Defining metric structure tree and properties

Use this procedure to update the KPIs and metrics in the metric structure container, and to define the behavior for value aggregation.
  1. On the SPE home page, select Administration > KPIs and Metrics > Metric Structures.
  2. Select the metric structure to which the tree must be added.
  3. Click + in the tree view section.
  4. Define the values for the metric structure:
    1. Click the Properties tab.
    2. To add a KPI, select a value in the Metric/KPI field.
      The unit of measure type of the first KPI or metric added is used as the base UoM type of the metric structure.
    3. To update the aggregation setting, select an item in This metric will aggregate:
    • Add to above level - KPI or metric data is summed.
    • None - The KPI or metric data does not affect the aggregation.
    • Subtract from above level - The KPI or metric data is deducted.
  5. Click Save.
    Note: You can set multiple levels for tree structure on the same level node. If the selected input method for KPI is set to aggregate by metric structure, then the tree is expanded and displayed as view-only. Do not link a KPI to a metric structure that depends on the metric structure that you edit to avoid errors.
