User roles
To ensure data security and protection against unauthorized changes, access to specific modules and functionalities within SPE is granted based on user roles.
This table shows the list of roles and functionality in SPE:

| SPE-SuperAdmin |
The SPE-SuperAdmin role has full access across SPE modules and provides support under exceptional circumstances. You can assign this role to the users who are part of the IT department or those designated as privileged users with elevated system access. |
Technical | If you do not have the SPE-SuperAdmin role, then you cannot set the Organization Maximum Depth or assign roles to users.

You can assign this role to the users who are part of the IT department or those with expertise in technical configurations, such as database setup and database administration. |

If you do not have the SPE-Administrator role, then you cannot perform technical configuration using the Data Management module to setup Organization and Period.

You can assign this role to users with specialized knowledge in ESG, sustainability reporting, and regulatory standards. |
Business |
If you do not have the SPE-ContentAdmin role, then you cannot perform setup of maintenance pages under the Administration module. Use this role to maintain the Organization and Period as required by the business.

| SPE-ExecutiveSponsor |
The SPE-ExecutiveSponsor role has full access to the assigned strategy, including its related activities and AOIs. You can assign this role to users who are at the upper management level and are responsible for leading the ESG initiatives of the company. |

If you do not have the SPE-ExecutiveSponsor role, then you cannot create the main strategy.

| SPE-ProgramManager |
The SPE-ProgramManager has full access to the assigned AOI, its sublevel strategies and activities. You can assign this role to users who complete the designated Area of Impact under the ESG strategy of the company. |

If you do not have the SPE-ProgramManager role, then you cannot create sublevel strategies from assigned AOIs.

| SPE-ActivityResponsible |
The SPE-ActivityResponsible role is limited to performing updates in the activities. You can assign this role to the users who are actively participating in the implementation or management of the ESG initiative of the organization. |
Business |
If you do not have the SPE-ActivityResponsible role, then you cannot update assigned activities.
|
| SPE-User |
The SPE-User role is limited to specifying data in the Data Reporting module. You can assign this role to the users who are directly involved in ESG activities and responsible for reporting actual values. |
Business |
If you do not have the SPE-User role, then you cannot specify reported data in the Data Reporting module.
