Creating the CSV data mapping manually

You can manually define source columns and map them with SPE fields when a sample CSV file is not available.

  1. On the SPE home page, select Data Management > Data Mapping.
  2. On the list view section of the Data Mapping tab, select the object for which to create the mapping.

    You can create one data mapping.

  3. Click + to create a new mapping.
  4. Specify a mapping name in the Name field. The name must be different from other mapping names.
  5. Select Comma Separated Values (CSV) File from the Import type field.
  6. Manually create the data mapping for the data object:
    1. Click Add field in the Mapping section.
    2. Specify a name in the Source field.
    3. Select a target in the Target field for each sources in the Mapping section. The data type for the fields is displayed automatically.
    Note: You must map all the required target fields to save the mapping.
  7. Click Save.
