Infor Document Management (IDM) for Smart Help

This section contains information about how to prepare IDM to add documents to Smart Help.

You can use Infor Document Management (IDM) to add your own documents and content to Smart Help for a screen in an application. The content that you add can be public so that all the users in your tenant can access them or private so that only you can access them.

  • Private: Only the last modifier of the new item can read and edit it.
  • Public: All users and can read and edit the item.

In OS Portal, the SMARTHELP Document Type is automatically provisioned and available to use. Optionally, you can create a new Document Type to add additional ACLs to the documents you will upload.

This feature is optional. Smart Help can work without it, but the My Documents tab will not show any content.
