User experience in OS Portal
This list shows some of the key features for Smart Help in OS Portal.
- Content in collapsible sections
- In Infor OS Portal, Smart Help simultaneously shows all of the available content channels in sections that can be expanded or collapsed. Previously, Smart Help was divided into two tabs with two sections in each tab. Smart Help only had one content channel at a time. Now, each channel is displayed as a section in the Smart Help widget.
- Content in the frame
- In OS Portal, content is displayed in the frame of the Smart Help widget pane. You can remain in the Infor application without navigating away from your work in the product. For example, when you click a link from Smart Help, the content is displayed inside the widget instead of in a new window.
- Resize the panel
- You can resize the Smart Help widget to show more of the content. For example, if you play a video or review a help topic from docs.infor.com, you can expand the Smart Help pane to view more.
- Pop the panel out
- Click the icon on the Infor Portal screen to enlarge the pane into a window.
- Improved messaging
- Smart Help in OS Portal has clearer messaging when content is not available, not enabled, or not supported. This provides users with a better understanding of why content is not available or if an error occurs in the widget.
