Extended search

Extended search is a search variant for search mode Items. The search is done in the item master table MITMAS in M3 Business Engine. A search bar is available to search for items. Entering a search string and pressing enter, or clicking the search icon, executes the search. The search is made with Infor Enterprise Search for M3 using the key search in 'Key Search. Open' (CMS030) as specific in Infor Sales Properties “Field Name” in tab “Search”, section “Item Search - Extended Search”, subsection “Key Search”.

The search result can be furthered filtered by using the category filter and facets. The facets can be used by themselves to find items. The general filters are available after a search has been performed and are checked by default.

Use button ADD ITEM to add items to the basket using the users' local warehouse. If the item is not available in the local warehouse, the MITBAL record is added automatically. The creation of the MITBAL record requires setting "Auto add permit" on ‘Warehouse. Open’ (MMS005/E) to be switched on. If the quantity field is empty, quantity 1 is used.

Click + for a specific item in the item search list to show more information about which warehouses the item is available in. This corresponds to MITBAL records in M3 Business Engine. The quantity is indicated by a color to highlight availability. The color is red if the quantity is negative or zero, yellow if the quantity is between one and four, green if the quantity is five or more and black if the item is classified as a “not stocked”. Items are classified as “not stocked” if field “Inventory Planned” in ‘Item. Connect Warehouse’ (MMS002/E) is set to 10 (Not stocked).

Click ADD ITEM for a specific warehouse to add the item to the basket using the selected warehouse.
