Category filter

This setting controls if category filter should be active for the local item search. A category filter can be used to further restrict the search result.

These options are available:

• No: Functionality for category filter is disabled. This is the default option.
• Yes: Functionality for category filter is enabled. Several new fields are visible which can be used to set up the category filter. If configured, the category filter is available to the left of the search field.

The following information must be specified:

• Key search: This field defines the “key search” field used for the category filter. Should correspond to a record in 'Key Search. Open' (CMS030).
• Field heading: This field describes the category filter and is shown on the Item search panel.
• Table name: This field defines the M3 BE database table from which the category filter is retrieved, for example MITMAS.
• Facet name: This value is four characters long and corresponds to the field in the selected database used as category filter.

No default setup is delivered, but record SH_ITEM_CATEG1 is added in 'Key Search. Open' (CMS030) by the Infor Sales Hub Content Package. This record can be used to set up a category filter. Use the following setup:

• Key search: SH_ITEM_CATEG1
• Field heading: All categories
• Table name: MITMAS
• Field name: BUAR.
