Adding items to the basket

Click ADD ITEM to add items to the basket. If the quantity field is empty, then quantity 1 is used. The item is added to the basket if the user is in the context of a basket.

If the extended search is used and the item is not available in the local warehouse, ADD ITEM is replaced with ADD ITEM – BRING IT TO MY WAREHOUSE. Click this button to add the item to the basket using the local warehouse and to create the MITBAL record in M3 Business Engine. The creation of the MITBAL record requires setting "Auto add permit" on ‘Warehouse. Open’ (MMS005/E) to be switched on.

A drop-down menu is available with all the available delivery methods in 'Delivery Method. Open' (CRS070). The information is retrieved using API CRS175MI.LstGeneralCode with constant value MODL as input.

You can set up a filter on delivery methods by using the functionality in section “Delivery Method – Filter” in tab “General” in Infor Sales Hub properties. The filter setting is applied here. If the filter is used, and the default delivery method is not set up to be included in the filter, the default delivery method is blank. The user can then manually set the delivery method to a delivery method included in the filter

Note: Any route settings in M3 Business Engine may result in a different delivery method on the actual customer order line in M3 Business Engine.

The default requested delivery date is retrieved from the order head but can be changed.

If the item has alternate units set up in M3 BE, an additional drop-down menu is available where the user can change the unit before adding the item to the basket. The basic unit is the default option in the drop-down menu.
