Credit information and credit check

The credit information is retrieved using API CRS610MI.GetFinancial and shown in the Credit line setting in the General tab in the Sales Hub Properties.

A credit check is automatically performed whenever you access the payment panel, regardless of whether the Credit line is displayed. If the customer exceeds their credit limit, a warning message is displayed, and the ACCOUNT option becomes unavailable. This information is retrieved with the API OIS100MI.CheckCustomer.

Typically, an exceeded credit limit is detected during the credit check that occurs when you create an order in the New Order Details dialog box. However, this check specifically addresses scenarios where the ongoing order itself overextends the credit limit. In such cases, the user must adjust the payment term to CASH to proceed.

For Contractors, if a credit limit is exceeded and an order line was created manually in M3, the payment term remains set to ACCOUNT, and CASH is not an available option.
