Adding or modifying flex field
- Select Setup > Flex Fields. The Flex Fields page is displayed.
- Click Add. The Add/Edit Flex-Field page is displayed.
Note: You can modify an existing flex field, using the Edit option corresponding to the flex field code.
- Specify or review this information in the Criteria section:
- Facility Name
- The name of the facility for which the flex field is defined.
- Level
- The document level (header/line) at which the flex field is added.
- Code
- The code of the flex field to identify the data in inbound and outbound files.
- Specify or review this information in the Properties section:
- Label
- The name of the flex field.
- Field Type

The type of the flex field. Possible Values:
- Text
- Numbers
- Decimals
- Check box
- Dropdown
Note: You must specify the values that must be displayed as options.
- Date
- Minimum
- The minimum number of characters required for the flex field.
- Maximum
- The maximum number of characters allowed for the flex field.
- Only Upper Case
- Select this check box to allow specifying characters only in the upper case.
- Mandatory
- Select this check box to set the flex field as mandatory.
- Active
- Indicate whether the flex field is used in the documents.
- Show in List
- Select this check box to view this flex field when the FF Filters option is selected on the header section of the list page.
- Restrict Past Date

Select this check box to limit the usage of the past date.
Note: This check box is displayed only if the Field Type is Date.
- Specify the name of the flex field in different languages in the Description section.
- Click Save.
