SMI Console

Use this page to review the supplier managed inventory (SMI) part details such as the inventory level, engineering level and the model year.

The console provides a summary of the inventory level permitted as compared to the maximum and minimum quantities of the part, by the customer. The color codes indicate the inventory status and other part information. See the Legend section for more information on the color codes.

The information is displayed based on the search criteria specified on the SMI Console Search Criteria page.

Review this information in the Results section:

Field Name Field Description
Inventory Status The status of the part inventory. This value indicates the on-hand quantity compared to the maximum and minimum quantity permitted for the part.
Note:  The quantity of the part in the inventory is displayed using the color codes.
Last Updated The date and time and when the Inventory Status or part information is modified.
PO Number The purchase order (PO) number related to the part.
Engineering Level The customer defined code that indicates the required version of the part.
U of M The customer-defined unit of measure (U of M) for the part.
Average Daily Release (ADR) The number of parts to be shipped corresponding to the releases each day.
Suggested Ship Quantity The recommended quantity of the part to be shipped. This value is calculated based on the calculation method selected by the customer.
Suggested Delivery Date The date on which the shipment must be sent. This value is calculated based on the number of days and lead time selected by the customer.
Model Year The code of the part that indicates the year when the part is used.
Type The type of the part. Possible values:
  • Production
  • Service
Status The status of the part. Possible values:
  • Consignment: Indicates that the part can be used and returned.
  • Build out : Indicates that the model year for the part is set to expire.
  • None: Indicates that the status of the part is neither Consignment nor Build out
