Viewing shipper line item containers

Use this page to view the containers related to the shipper line item. You can define the master, detail and loose containers for the line item.

To view this page, click Edit Containers corresponding to the shipper line item in the Line Items section of the Shipper detail page.

The information is defaulted from the Shipper and Shipper Line Item page.

Review this information in the Master Container List and Loose Container List sections:

Field Name Field Description
Container Type The type of the container used for the shipment.
Container Code The code of the container. The Automotive Industry Action Group(AIAG) standard code where the first three letters indicate the type of the container and the last two characters indicate the container material. For example, BOX25 indicates that the container is a box made of corrugated or solid cardboard.
Tare Weight (Pounds) The weight of the container when empty.
Units Per The quantity of the part shipped in the container.
Serial Number The supplier defined serial number for the container.
Note:  If the value is not specified in this field, the application generates the serial number when the label is printed.
Include in Advance Shipping Notice Indicates whether the container information is included on the advance ship notice.
Include in Printing Documents Indicates whether the container information is included in the printing documents.
Include in Barcode label Indicates whether the container information is included on the barcode label.

You can also use this page to:

  • Add master container using the Add option in the Master Container List section. The Master Container Information page is displayed.
  • Add loose container using the Add option in the Loose Container List section. The Loose Container Information page is displayed.
  • Modify the container information using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Code .
  • Delete a container. Select the check box corresponding to the container details and click Delete.
  • Specify or modify the lot and serial numbers for the containers using the Edit Serial and Lot Numbers option.
