Defining or modifying miscellaneous container packaging for part

Use the Additional Container Maintenance page to define or modify the additional master or detail (miscellaneous) container for the parts.

Note:  You can add the additional container only if the respective master or detail container is defined.
  1. Click Add on the Packaging Maintenance Search Criteria page. The Packaging Maintenance page is displayed.
    Note:  You can modify the packaging template using the Edit option corresponding to the Facility.
  2. Click Add in the Additional Master Container Packaging section. The Additional Container Packaging Information page is displayed.
    Note: You can use the Edit option corresponding to the Container Id in the Additional Master Container Packaging section.
  3. Click Add in the Detail Container section, to add the detail container information for the part. The Detail Container Packaging Information page is displayed.
    Note: You can modify the detail container information for the part using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Id in the Detail Container section.
  4. Click Add in the Additional Detail Container Packaging section of the Detail Container Maintenance page. The Additional Container Maintenance page is displayed.
    Note:  You can modify the additional detail container data using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Id in the Additional Detail Container Packaging section.
  5. Specify or modify this information:
    Additional Container
    The code of the additional container.
    Tare Weight
    The weight of the container when empty. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
    Unit of Measure
    The unit of measure for the Tare Weight. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
    Include on ASN
    If this check box is selected, the additional container information is included on the Advanced Ship Notice (ASN).
    Print on Shipping Documents
    If this check box is selected, the additional container information is printed on the shipping documents.
    Include on Labels
    If this check box is selected, the additional container information is printed on the shipping labels.
    Units Per
    The quantity of the part shipped in the Additional Container.
  6. Click Update. The Packaging Maintenance page is displayed.
  7. Click Save.
