Flex fields

Flex fields are used to add data sets to the application. Creating a flex field allows additional data to be included in inbound and outbound API files and to appear in the application.

Customers and suppliers can set up flex fields by document type. Flex-fields have three main components.

  • The code is used to refer the field in inbound and outbound API files.
  • Labels can be specified for each application-supported language.
  • The value is the content of the field.

Flex fields can be either optional or mandatory. All mandatory flex fields must be included in the inbound APIs to which the fields belong.

Suppliers can add flex fields to these document types:

  • Miscellaneous Invoice. Flex fields can be added to the header and line item level.
  • Production Invoice. Flex fields can be added to the header and line item level.
  • Shipper. Flex fields can be added to the header and line item level.
