Defining or modifying master container for shipper

Use this page to define or modify the master container information for the shipper. You can also add or delete the detail containers and additional packaging data for the master container.

  1. Select Shipments > View Shippers. The Open Shipper page is displayed.
  2. Click Continue. The Shippers page is displayed.
  3. Click Edit corresponding to the shipper. The Shipper page is displayed.
  4. Click Edit Containers corresponding to the Packaging Template in the Line Items section. The Containers page is displayed.
  5. Click Add in the Master Container List section. The Master Container Information page is displayed.
    Note:  You can modify the master container information using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Type in the Master Container List section. The Master Container Information page is displayed.
  6. Specify or modify this information in the Master Container Information section:
    Container Type
    The type of the container. Possible values:
    • Master
    • Mixed
    Container Code
    The code of the container.
    Tare Weight
    The weight of the empty container.
    Units Per
    The quantity of the part shipped in the master container.
    Include in Advance Shipping Notice
    If this check box is selected, the container data is included on the Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN).
    Include in Printing Documents
    If this check box is selected, the container information is printed on the shipping documents.
    Include in Barcode label
    If this check box is selected, the container information is printed on the barcode labels.
  7. Click Add in the Detail Container List section to add detail container packaging. The Detail Container Information page is displayed.
    Note: 
    • You can modify the detail container packaging using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Code.
    • You can delete the detail container packaging. Select the check box corresponding to the Container Code and click Delete. The master container is also deleted if the detail containers defined for the shipper are deleted.
  8. Click Add in the Master additional packaging List section to add additional master container packaging. The Miscellaneous Container Information page is displayed.
    Note: 
    • You can define the additional master container only if the detail container is defined.
    • You can modify the additional master container using the Edit option corresponding to the Container Code.
    • You can delete the additional master container. Select the check box corresponding to the Container Code and click Delete.
  9. Click Save. The Containers page is displayed.
    Note:  The Save option is displayed only if the detail containers are defined.
