Ship from locations
Every location from which shipments are sent must be added as a Ship From record. During registration, one Ship From record is created. Each additional location must be manually added.
Transit Times
The Transit Time is the travel time of a shipment from a Ship From location to the Ship To location. This time is specified for a combination of a Ship From and a Ship To location. When a Shipper is created, the application defaults this data. In case the Transit Time is not specified, the time is calculated based on the Creation Date and the Expected Arrival Date specified for the shipper.
This transit time is saved as the default value on the Ship From page.
Demand - Ship From Associations
For a shipment with multiple Ship Froms, you can create a default Ship From for each demand item using the Ship From Association page. During shipper creation, you can only add the demand associated with the Ship From specified for the shipper or the demand that is not associated with any Ship From.
