Adding requirements

Use the Releases page to specify the requirement information for the part such as the required date, quantity and the frequency at which the part is required.

You can access this page from the Requirement Information section on the Schedule page.

  1. Select Demand > Schedules.
  2. Specify the search criteria.
  3. Click Continue. The Releases page is displayed.
  4. Click Schedule View corresponding to Release in the Demand Information section. The Schedule page is displayed.
  5. Click Add in the Requirement Information section. The Releases Requirement Information page is displayed.
  6. Specify this information:
    Requirement Date
    The date when the parts are required. The requirement date indicates the date on which the parts must be shipped or the date on which the parts must be delivered, based on the Ship/Delivery code on the Schedule page.
    Frequency
    The time interval when the part is required. Possible values:
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • JIT (Just-in-time)
    • Monthly
    Quantity
    The quantity of the part required.
    Type
    The type of requirement. Possible values:
    • Firm
    • Plan
    • Immediate
    • Backlog
    Pull Signal
    The pull signal associated with the requirement.
  7. Click Submit.
