Adding or modifying parts for an operation

Use this page to add or modify the parts to a specific operation. This information is used when creating an operation related to the Outside Processing. You can also set the alert tolerances for the part.

  1. Select Outside Processing > Operation Creation.
  2. Click Add on the Parts tab. The Part detail page is displayed. You can also access this page when modifying the part information for an operation using the Operation Managment menu.
  3. Specify or modify this information:
    Source Part
    The code of the part.
    Defect Tolerance (Warning)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the percentage of defective parts is accepted. A warning notification is sent to the supplier if the percentage of defective parts exceed the tolerance specified.
    Defect Tolerance (Severe)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the percentage of defective parts is accepted. A notification indicating the severity is sent to the supplier if the percentage of defective parts exceed the tolerance specified.
    Scrap Tolerance (Warning)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the percentage of the parts scrapped is accepted. A warning notification is sent to the supplier if the percentage of the parts scrapped exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Scrap Tolerance (Severe)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the percentage of the parts scrapped is accepted. A notification indicating the severity is sent to the supplier if the percentage of the parts scrapped exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Shipping Discrepancy (Warning)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the discrepancy in the quantity of the part received is accepted. A warning notification is sent to the supplier if the discrepancy in the received part quantity exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Shipping Discrepancy (Severe)
    The tolerance (in percentage) up to which the discrepancy in the quantity of the part received is accepted. A notification indicating the severity is sent to the supplier if the discrepancy in the received part quantity exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Processing Tolerance (Warning)
    The tolerance (in days) up to which the delay in processing the part is accepted. A warning notification is sent to the supplier if the time to process the part exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Processing Tolerance (Severe)
    The tolerance (in days) up to which the delay in processing the part is accepted. A notification indicating the severity is sent to the supplier if the time to process the part exceeds the tolerance specified.
    Comments/Instructions
    The additional information related to the part.
  4. Click Save.
