Modifying the Supplier Managed Inventory part

Use this page to modify the Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) part information such as the model year, purchase order number and engineering level.

  1. Select Demand > Supplier Managed Inventory > SMI Console.
  2. Specify the search criteria.
  3. Click Continue. The SMI Part Setup List page is displayed.
  4. Click Edit corresponding to the part. The SMI Part Information page is displayed.
  5. Modify this information:
    Model Year
    The code of the part that indicates the year when the part is used.
    Purchase Order Number
    The purchase order number of the part.
    Engineering Level
    The code of the required version of the part.
    Planner
    The name of the user (planner) who manages the part inventory.
    Supplier Managed Inventory Minimum
    The minimum on-hand quantity of the part permissible at the Ship To location.
    Supplier Managed Inventory Maximum
    The maximum on-hand quantity of the part permissible at the Ship To location.
    Quantity On Hand
    The quantity of the part available in the inventory.
    Average Daily Release (ADR)
    The average quantity of the part required for releases each day.
    Average Daily Usage (ADU)
    The average quantity of the part consumed each day during the manufacturing process.
    In Transit Days
    The number of days required for the shipment to be delivered at the Ship To location. By default, the value in this field is set to zero.
    Type
    The type of the part. Possible values:
    • Production
    • Service
    Status
    The status of the part. Possible values:
    • Consignment
    • Build out
    • None
    Production on Saturday
    Indicates whether the production of the part is performed on Saturday.
    Production on Sunday
    Indicates whether the production of the part is performed on Sunday.
  6. Click Submit.
