Defining route templates

Route templates define the course of travel for long distance shipments. Route templates contain a starting and ending point (Ship From and Ship To) and checkpoints in between the two locations. After being established, the route templates can be assigned to a shipment to define that shipment's intended path.

Route templates can be created from scratch, copied and modified from an existing route template, edited, or deleted.

  1. Select Global Track and Trace > Define Route Templates.
  2. Select the search criteria.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. In the Route List, click Add.
  5. Specify the route information. When you select the long distance shipment, the shipment's ship from and ship to locations display as the starting and ending checkpoints in the Route Checkpoints table.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To add a checkpoint, in the Route Checkpoints table, click Add.
  8. Specify the checkpoint details.
  9. Click Save.
