Advance ship notices

Advance ship notices (ASNs) are electronic documents that are sent to and provide detailed information to the customer about the shipment such as the estimated arrival date. The ASNs can also include the Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) information. The SCAC is the carrier code defined by the National Motor Freight Association.

When you publish a shipper, the shipper is sent as an ASN to the customer. You can also import a shipper file to the application. The application provides features such as the demand fulfillment and bar code printing. If you cancel a shipment after the corresponding ASN is published, you can notify the customer with the ASN cancellation notification.
