Creating or modifying packaging template
Use the Packaging Maintenance page to define or modify the packaging data for the part. You can define the packaging template specific to the Facility and Ship To combination.
- Select Setup > Master Data > Packaging Maintenance. The Packaging Maintenance Search Criteria page is displayed.
- Specify the search criteria.
- Click Search. The List of Packages section is displayed.

Click
Add to add packaging
information for the part(s). The
Packaging Maintenance page is displayed.
Note: You can modify the packaging template using the Edit option corresponding to the Facility.
- Select the parts from the Available Parts list and move it to the Authorized Parts list, and vice versa.

Specify or modify this information:
- Facility
- The name of the location from where the demand for the parts is raised.
- Ship To
- The location to which the parts are shipped.
- Template Code
- The code of the packaging template.
- Description
- The description of the packaging template.
- Master Container
- The code of the master container.
Note: By default, this field is set to None for a new packaging template.
- Description
- The description of the container. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
- Tare Weight
- The weight of the container when empty. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
- Unit of Measure
- The unit of measure for the Tare Weight. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
- Include On ASN
- If this check box is selected, the master container packaging information is included on the Advanced Ship Notice (ASN).
- Include On Label
- If this check box is selected, the master container packaging information is included on the shipping label.
- Print on Shipping Documents
- If this check box is selected, the master container packaging information is included on the shipping documents.
- Master Units Per
- The quantity of the part shipped in the Master Container.

Click
Add in the
Additional Master Container Packaging section,
to add additional master container packaging for the part. The
Additional Container Maintenance page is
displayed.
Note:
- You can add the additional master container packaging only if the Master Container is specified in the Packaging Information section.
- Click Edit corresponding to the Container Id, to modify the additional master container packaging data.
- Click Delete corresponding to the Container Id, to delete the additional master container packaging.

Click
Add in the
Detail Container, to add detail container
information for the part. The
Detail Container Maintenance page is displayed.
Note:
- Click Edit corresponding to the Container Id, to modify the detail container packaging data.
- Click Delete corresponding to the Container Id, to delete the detail container packaging data.
- Click Save. The List of Packages section is displayed.
