Production Part Approval Process

The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) functionality enables you to review the data related to the production part samples that are evaluated by the customer. After the parts are evaluated, the customer assigns the Full Approval, Provisional Approval or Rejected status to the sample part sent.

The PPAP rating is calculated as the ratio of fully or provisionally approved samples divided by the total number of submitted samples in a given period. You can attain a high rating if the sample part supplied for the first time meets the required specifications.

The PPAP functionality is fully integrated with the application. You can configure the PPAP alerts on the Alert Configuration page to receive the notifications. You can also select the PPAP events, on the EMC Configuration page, that must be displayed on the Event Management Console.
