Modifying the shipper
Use this page to modify the shipper information such as the ship date and time, freight, transport, SCAC, carrier and bill of lading.
To modify the shipper information:
- Select Shipments > View Shippers. The Open Shipper page is displayed.
- Specify the required information.
- Click Continue. The Shippers page is displayed.
- Click Edit corresponding to the shipper. The Shipper page is displayed.
- Click Edit in the Header Information section. The Shipper Header information page is displayed.

Review this information:
- Customer From
- The name of the location from where the demand for the parts is raised.
- Ship To
- The location to which the parts are shipped.
- Supplier
- The name of the supplier.
- Ship From
- The location from where the parts are shipped.
- Shipper Number
- The code of the shipper.
- Freight
- The mode of payment for the shipping cost. Possible values:
- Collect
- Prepaid
- Prepaid Invoice
- AETC (Authorized Excess Transportation Cost)
- The Authorized Excess
Transportation Cost (AETC) number provided by the customer. This code indicates
that the shipping costs that exceed contractual terms are approved.
Note: If the AETC functionality is implemented, this field cannot be modified.
- Vehicle Number
- The railcar number, trailer number or air freight number.
- Carrier
- The code of the company that transports the shipment.
- Dock
- The code of the dock to which the shipment is sent.
- Test or Production
- The type of requirement. Possible values:
- Test: This value indicates the test requirement, as defined by the customer. Test requirements include a trial run with no production or shipment of the part.
- Production: This value indicates that the part is produced and shipped.
- Route ID
- The code of the route map for the shipment. This value is defaulted from the Route Details page, as defined by the customer.
- Remarks
- The additional information related to the shipper.
- Ship Date & Time
- The date and time when the shipment is sent.
- Expected Arrival Date & Time
- The date and time when the shipment is expected to reach the checkpoint based on the updated checkpoint information.
- AETC Responsibility
- The business partner (customer or supplier) responsible to pay the additional costs related to the shipment.
- Transport
- The mode of conveyance used for transporting the shipment.
- SCAC (Standard Carrier Alpha Code)
- The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) of the carrier that transports the shipment.
- Pro Number
- The carrier tracking number used to track the shipment.
- Bill of Lading Number
- The code to identify the shipment. This code is issued by the Carrier.
- Shipping Manager
- The company responsible for shipping and tracking the shipment.
- Click Save. The Shipper detail page is displayed.
