Creating or modifying document profile (Host)

Use this page to create or modify the profile for the documents to be exported to the host. You can also specify the file format for the document.

  1. Select Communications > Define Documents. The Document Profiles page is displayed.
  2. Click Add. The Document Profile Details page is displayed.
    You can use the Edit option corresponding to the Document Type in the Documents For Export To Host section to modify an existing profile for the document.
  3. Specify or modify this information:
    Host
    The name of the host used for sending or receiving the files.
    Document Type
    The document to be transferred. For example, Material Release, and Advance Shipment Notice (ASN). The documents types are determined by the user profile (customer or supplier), and if the selected host system is part of a Valued-Added Network (VAN).
    File Format
    The format in which file is exported. Possible values:
    • CSV
    • ZML
    • X12
    • EDIFACT
    • PXML
    • VDA
    • ODETTE
    • OXML
    Note: The X12 or EDIFACT file formats are only applicable if the selected host system is part of a Value-Added Network (VAN).
  4. Click Submit. The document to be exported to the host is created.
