Facilities are customer sites for which demand is issued. A facility record must be manually added for each facility location issuing demand. If a file is sent (imported) referencing a facility that has not yet exist, the facility will not be added automatically.

Information within Supplier Exchange is linked to customer facilities:

  • Ship To Locations. Authorize a single or multiple facilities for each Ship To location.
  • Demand. Every kind of demand is attached to both a facility and ship to location. Through various application views, facility can be used to filter and search for specific demand items.
  • Customer Profiles. Preference settings can be established for all facilities or for individual facilities.

When adding or updating facility records, you can choose to use the facility address as the Sold To address on ASNs. You can also allow backorders on POs at the facility level.
