Shipment Managers

Shipment managers are the companies that specialize in tracking shipments and provide status updates for shipments.

User and a host profiles are linked to shipment managers. To define shipment managers, the users must be created on the User Profile page. These users logon to the application to execute the tasks for the shipment manager (company), based on the assigned roles. The type of the users must be set to User or Contact and User on the User Profile page. The users must also be assigned a Role based on which the corresponding functionality can be accessed. The host profiles must be set for the shipment managers to communicate (the host can receive Advance Ship Notices (ASNs), only if a document profile is created) with the application.

Shipment managers can create, modify, or delete the shipments. Only the users with the administrator Role can define shipment managers.
