Inventory Projection

The shipment punctuality and lead times are factors to determine the future inventory levels . Use the Inventory Projection console to predict the inventory levels by comparing the in-transit part quantities with the specified consumed quantities. You can view the impact of the shipment punctuality and lead times which helps analyze and prevent the potential shortages and stoppages.

To use the Inventory Projection console, you must define the indicator (stoppage and shortage) tolerances. Based on these settings, you can receive notifications (through an indicator on the console) about the potential shortages or stoppages, at the earliest.

After setting up the indicators, you can send (import) Part Inventory and Part Consumption APIs to the Supplier Exchange.

The Part Inventory API provides the information about the current inventory levels of the part and the safety stock numbers. The Part Consumption API provides the information about the estimated rate of consumption for the part.
