File extensions

Documents can be received using FTP or as email attachments. To access the file, save the file with the extension of the format selected in the document profile.

The file extensions that indicate the type of document:

• .mat - Material Release
• .shpscd - Shipping Schedule
• .vmi - VMI Schedule
• .kbn - eKanban Schedule
• .kxml - eKanban Pull Signal
• .asn - Advance Ship Notice
• .rcpt - Receipt
• .po - Purchase Order
• .msg - Mail Message

To access the file, modify the extension to match the file format:

• .xml - XML (Extensive Markup Language)
• .csv - CSV (Comma Separated Variable)
• .edi - EDI (Edifact)
• .x12 - ANSI X12 (American National Standards Institute X12)
