Creating or Modifying Flex fields for Supplier/Vendor onboarding process
Use this page to add a new field or modify an existing field.
- Select Supplier Onboarding > Code List > Flex Fields. The Flex-Fields page is displayed.
- Click Add. The Add/Edit Flex Field page is displayed.
- Specify this information:
- Level
- The header/line level at which the flex field must be added.
- Code
- The code of the flex field.
- X-Path
- The path where the document is saved.

Specify this information in the Properties section:
- Label (English)
- The name of the flex field.
- Field Type
- The type of field to be displayed on the business
documents. Possible Values:
- Text
- Number
- Decimal
- Checkbox
- Dropdown
- Date
- Minimum Length
- The minimum number of characters required for the flex field.
- Maximum Length
- The maximum number of characters allowed for the flex field.
- Only Upper Case
- Select this check box to specify the characters in upper case.
- Mandatory
- Select this check box to set the flex field mandatory.
- Internal
- Select this check box to hide a flex field from the application.
- Default Value
- The default value that is to be displayed on the Flex-Fields page.
- Dropdown List Items
- The sequence for the list of items to be displayed.
- Restrict Past Date
- Select this check box to restrict the user from specifying the date in the past.
- Active
- Note: Select this check box to display the flex field on theYou can also specify the label in the other languages in which the flex field must be displayed.
- Additional Cost
- Select this checkbox to include additional cost for the
supplier on an RFQ bid.Select this check box to display the flex field on the
Company Information page.Note: This check box is displayed only when the value of the Level field is set to RFQ_SUPPLIER_QUOTE.
- Enable Supplier Edit
- Select this check box to enable supplier editable flex
field.Note: This check box is only displayed when the value of the Level field is set to PPO_LINE_ITEM and DISCRETE_PO_LINE_ITEM.
- Click Save.
