Defining or modifying Miscellaneous Container for Packaging Template

Use this page to define or modify the additional detail (Miscellaneous) container for the packaging template.

Note:  You can add the additional detail container data only if the detail container is defined for the parts.
  1. Select Setup > Master Data > Packaging Maintenance.
  2. Specify the search criteria.
  3. Click Search. The List of Packages section is displayed.
  4. Click Add. The Packaging Maintenance page is displayed. Click Edit corresponding to the facility, to modify the packaging template.
  5. Click Add in the Detail Container section. The Detail Container Packaging Information page is displayed. Click Edit corresponding to the container ID in the Detail Container section.
  6. Click Add in the Additional Detail Container Packaging section. The Additional Container Packaging Information is displayed.
  7. Specify this information:
    Additional Container
    The code of the additional container.
    Tare Weight
    The weight of the container when empty. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
    Unit of Measure
    The unit to measure for the tare weight. This value is defaulted from the Containers page.
    Include on ASN
    If this check box is selected, the additional container information is included on the Advanced Ship Notice (ASN).
    Print on Shipping Documents
    If this check box is selected, the additional container information is printed on the shipping documents.
    Units Per
    The quantity of the part shipped in the Additional Container.
  8. Click Update. The Packaging Maintenance page is displayed.
  9. Click Save.
