Request For Quotation (RFQ)

The document used to request a price quotation for the required products or services. The customer sends the requirement to various suppliers. Based on the requirement, each supplier submits a bid for the specified quantity. The customer evaluates the bid and can accept, reject, or negotiate based on the lowest bid. The RFQ is converted to a proposed purchase order, only if the customer accepts the bid.
