Modifying the Premium Freight Authorization
Use this page to modify the information related to Premium Freight
Authorizations (PFAs).
Note:
- You can specify only the actual cost and the comments for the PFAs with the status of Published.
- You can delete the PFA with the status of Open.
To modify the PFA:
- Select Premium Freight > View PFAs.
- Specify the search criteria and click Submit.
- Click Edit corresponding to the PFA with the status Published. The Premium Freight Authorization page is displayed. You can also access this page to modify the published PFAs using the Edit option on the Published and Closed Authorizations page in the Close PFAs menu.

Review this information in the
Details section:
- AETC Number
- The Authorized Excess Transportation Cost (AETC) code assigned to the expedited shipment indicates that the shipping cost that does not meet the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Date Required
- The date and time at which the parts are required.
- Expeditor
- The name of the user (planner) who created the PFA.
- Responsibility
- The company that pays the expenses
(excess costs) related to the expedited shipment. Possible values:
- Customer
- Supplier
- Dock
- The code of the dock at the Ship To location.
- Estimated Cost
- The estimated cost of the requirements related to the PFA.
- Fulfills Existing Requirement
- Indicates whether the PFA fulfills the existing requirements or is related to a demand schedule.
- Carrier
- The code of the carrier that transports the shipment.
- Date Entered
- The date and time at which the PFA is created.
- Authorized By
- The name of the user who authorizes the expedited shipment.
- Reason
- The reason code for the PFA.

Specify this information:
- Actual Cost
- The actual cost of the requirements related to the PFA.
- Comments
- The additional information related to the PFA.
- Click Save. You can also cancel the PFA using the Cancel Authorization option. This option is displayed only if you access the page from the View PFAs menu.
