Adding a Locale

  1. Select Settings > Enterprise > Manage Locales. The Edit Locale page is displayed.
  2. Click New. The Edit Locale page is displayed.
  3. Specify this information in the Locale Details section:
    Name
    The name of the specific location.
    Description
    The brief description of the specific location.
  4. Specify this information in the Language and Currency section:
    Numeric Decimal Places
    The position of the numerical digit to the right of a decimal.
    Numeric Group Separator
    The symbol (comma) that separates a large number from the integral digit. (e.g., 1,000 or 1.000).
    Numeric Decimal Separator
    The symbol (period) used for separating the decimal point.
  5. Specify this information in the Language and Currency section:
    SCS Application Language
    The system language used for hotel staff.
    Default Language
    The default language used for the location.
    Default Currency
    The default currency in which all monetary transactions are expressed.
  6. Specify this information in the Date and Time section:
    Date Format
    The format of the date to be displayed for the location.
    Time Format
    The format of the time to be displayed for the location.
    Start Day of Week
    The day of the week.
  7. Click Save.
