Adding an important date to the Events calendar

  1. Click Manage Important Dates in the Toolbar on the Events calendar page. The Calendar important dates list page is displayed.
  2. Click Add Important Date. The important date details page is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Date
    The date that is identified as important and displayed on the Events calendar page.
    Important Date Type
    The type of date set for the events calendar.
    Note: 
    • If the value in this field is set to Disabled Date, the Disabled Message field is displayed, wherein you can specify the reason for disabling the date.
    • If the value in this field is set to Holiday, the Disabled Date check box is displayed. You can select this check box to view the Disabled Message field, wherein you can specify the reason for disabling the date.
    • If the value in this field is set to Note, the Note field is displayed, wherein you can specify additional information.
    Apply to Enterprise
    Select this check box to include the important date displayed at the Enterprise level.
    Note: 
    • This check box is displayed only if you select Holiday or Note in theImportant Date Type field.
    • The Sites field is displayed, if you clear this check box.
    Sites
    The site that is selected for the important date.
    Locations
    The location of the function for which the important date is displayed on the events calendar.
    Title
    The title for the selected date that is displayed on the events calendar.
    Background Color
    The color code to set the background color of the important dates.
    Note: 
    • By default, the important dates are displayed in grey color background.
    • You can view the colors set for the dates on the Events calendar page.
    Recurring Date
    If this check box is selected, the related recurring date fields are displayed.

    You can specify the required details to set the frequency for the recurrence of the date in the subsequent fields:

    Recurring Date Type
    The date recurs based on Fixed or Floating type.
    Recurring Date Frequency

    Set the frequency for the recurrence of the important dates to be displayed on the events calendar.

    The frequency can be set to:
    • Yearly: The date recurs on a yearly basis. You must specify the month and day in the Month and Day of Month fields.
      Note: If the value in the Recurring Date Type field is set to Floating and the value in this field is set to Yearly, the Week Number of Month and Day of Week fields are displayed.
    • Monthly: The date recurs on a monthly basis. You must specify the day of the month in the Day of Month field.
      Note: If the value in the Recurring Date Type field is set to Floating and the value in this field is set to Monthly, the Week Number of Month and Day of Week fields are displayed.
    • Weekly: The date recurs on a weekly basis. You must specify the day of the week in the Day of Week field.
      Note: If the value in the Recurring Date Type field is set to Floating and the value in this field is set to Weekly, the Day of Week field is displayed.
    • Daily: The date recurs daily.
    Start Date
    The date on which the recurrence of the important date starts.
    End Date
    The date on which the recurrence of the important date ends.
  4. Click Save Important Date.
