Booking a Guest Rooms Only Event

  1. Select Guest Rooms > New Event. The Guest Rooms Block page is displayed.
  2. Specify this information in the Event Details section:
    Site
    The site where you require to perform the event.
    Primary Contact
    The contact person related to the event.
    Event Name
    The name of the event.
    Event Category
    The category in which the event is organized.
    Event Type
    The type of event organized such as Birthday, Conference, or Wedding.
    Market Type
    The market segment related to the event such as Corporate, Government, and Leisure.
    Estimated Attendance
    The number of guests included in the event.
    Note: If the booking is for guest rooms only event, the estimated attendance is left to zero.
    Owner
    The default user who has logged on the application.
    Note: The default user can change the ownership to another user.
    Salesperson
    The default user who has logged on the application.
    Note: The default user can assign another user as the salesperson.
    Event Lifecycle Model
    The model identifies the lifecycle steps that will be visible in the Event Lifecycle section.
    Note: You can use the Default lifecycle list unless there is a Rooms Only lifecycle to select from the dropdown.
  3. Specify this information in the Guest Rooms Block Details section:
    Guest Rooms Block Name
    The default name of the event.
    Owner
    The default user who has logged on the application.
    Note: The default user can change the ownership to another user.
    Salesperson
    The default user who has logged on the application.
    Note: The default user can assign another user as the salesperson.
  4. Click Save and Add Guest Rooms Booking.
  5. Select one or more dates in the Select Dates section.
  6. Specify the room count on the Contracted tab of the Room Mix section and click Copy to Blocked.
  7. Select the Override Default Rates defined in Settings check box on the Room Rates tab to overwrite the default values.
  8. Click Continue.
