Configurable Prediction Intervals for ARIMA and Naïve algorithms
Prediction Intervals and Probabilistic Standard Deviation (SD) added to 21.2 release, have been calculated based on a set confidence limit of 95% within the ARIMA and Naïve algorithms. This value can now be defined by users within the related forecast engine configuration, through the confidence limit parameter.
BATS are already using the confidence limit parameter, as the other algorithms using Bootstrapping to calculate Prediction Intervals and Probabilistic SD.
Note: ARIMA, BATS and Naïve calculate the analytical Prediction Intervals and do not calculate a
Probabilistic SD. The Probabilistic SD is set to be the same as the usual SD.
Note: This feature is available on upgrade., any related engines use the value specified in the
confidence limit parameter or default to 95% otherwise. ou are not required a new role or
privilege access to use this feature.
