Locked production allowed to exceed capacity

The default Supply Chain Optimization Planning Engine definition (SP_SCO) is updated to always allow locked production to exceed capacity. Locked production may exceed capacity which makes the problem ineffectual. Allowing this, while still forbidding planned production to exceed capacity, skips ineffectuality related to locked production and capacity constraints while retaining good solver performance for discrete problems.

These entities are updated in SP_SCO:

  • Classes
    • Resource and Resource Allocations;
  • Solver Optimization
  • Workflows

Note: This feature is enabled after appending the Planning Engine SP SCO template (apsco.zip) for this release at which point the standard Planning Engine definition (SP_SCO) is updated. New instances of the Planning Engine created from this definition includes this feature. You are not required a new role or privilege access to use this feature.
