Migrated content for measure extensibility – Format and edit calculations

Standard supply planning measures in the content, including optimization and replenishment, are migrated to define default formats and edit calculations in the Measure configuration, as applicable. This simplifies the ability to extend measures: one format definition or edit calculation rule for all occurrences.

This feature has been introduced in v20.8, however, the standard templates are migrated for complete utilization. This removes the requirement to define the format or edit calculation parameter in each worksheet, while supporting overrides to the default worksheet format and worksheet edit calculation without customizing or copying standard measures, or worksheets. Overrides are maintained when appending standard content.

Some measures may not have a format defined if no specific properties specified outside of the Format in the Details tab (the numeric or date type); or no specific edit calculation rule. For example, measures which are not displayed in worksheets, are not editable; or require no specific formatting

All worksheet parameters are maintained for reference, but the parameters are mostly disabled, therefore the measure definitions are used, where applicable. A small number of worksheets have rv_measure_calc parameters enabled where worksheet specific overrides are required for a subset of measures:

  • Measures: SPLS_ROUTE_VEHICLE_COUNT,

• SPLS_Transportation Routes Out Time Phased
  • Measures: SPLS_ROUTE_OUT_VEHICLE_COUNT,

Formats defined in a worksheet via rv_measure_format that include a measure takes precedence over that measure's values. The order for applying format is:

• rv_measure_calc override value
• rv_measure_calc default value
• Measure definition Calculation Override value
• Measure definition Default Worksheet calculation value
• rv_measure_spreadlike

Measure configuration is versioned, therefore, changes are effective on creation of the next cycle period or with pause and resume with refresh for a related, running cycle periods.
