Supply Planning Optimization with Planning Engine

Supply Planning Optimization is a new functionality which works with Planning Engine functionality and is now available from this release.

This brings the standard content for the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) model, as a pre-defined Planning Engine definition.

Supply Planning Optimization with Planning Engine supports extensions to the planning engine definition, that is, the SCO model. It provides more direct integration from SCV to the planning engine (model) and supports review and modify of plan data directly in the planning engine using plan sheets.

This is a new functionality which has no impact on existing processes until activated. The standard supply chain optimization Planning Engine definition and supporting configuration is delivered as a template and enabled after loading the Planning Engine SP SCO template (apsco.zip) for this release.

These configuration entity types are delivered as part of SP SCO template:

  • Planning Engine Definition: SP_SCO (Supply Chain Optimization).
  • Application Variables. Grouped by category: ‘SCO’ and 'SCO - SCV'.
  • Code List for custom calendar definition, imported from SCV.
  • Interface Services: Type = Database.
  • Macros: type = System.
  • Plan sheets - standard and multi-panel.
  • SCV Datasheets.
  • SCV Profile: APSCO_BASE.
