Persist worksheet panel positions by user-device

New menu options are available when viewing a multi-panel worksheet:

  • Save Worksheet layout: The current panel sizes, or splitter positions are saved in the local browser storage. Saved settings are applied when the worksheet is accessed in future from the same device.
  • Reset Worksheet Layout: The default settings are reverted from the worksheet configuration, removing the saved user setting on this device.

This feature is supported in multi-panel worksheets (for Cycles) and plan sheets (for Planning Engines) and supports user and device personalization from a shared worksheet configuration without the need for customization.

The settings are saved using local browser storage. Settings are saved by instance, worksheet, user and device. If using multiple tenants, the desired layout requires to be saved for each tenant. If accessing through a different device, the setting is defaulted until initial layouts are saved.

When accessing the instance through Private Browsing or Incognito mode, the default settings are applied. Similarly, if a user clears the browser cache, the saved worksheet layouts are cleared, and layout settings is reset to the defaults in the corresponding worksheet definition.
Note: This feature is available on upgrade. You are not required a new role or privilege access to use this feature.
